What do you look for in a close friend? My close friends are fun-loving, we have common interests; they are willing to spend time with me and speak truthfully to me. They care about me and point me to Jesus!
What’s something new that you’ve learned about the Bible lately, that has surprised you? The middle verse in the Bible is Psalm 118:8, It is better to trust in the Lord than to put confidence in man. A good reminder!
What’s one goal you have for the next year? Spend more time with grandkids!
Your most memorable experience? I took a trip to Israel with my husband and his family many years ago and it was just an incredible experience!
Why did you first come to Hanfield? When my husband, who was a pastor, died my youngest daughter and I moved to this area. We came to Hanfield because we knew Pastor Tim and we were sure the church would possibly be a good “fit” for us.
Why did you stay? My then-12-year-old daughter, said “you can visit other churches if you want, but I’m staying here.” I agreed, and have never regretted our decision!
What was your greatest childhood ambition? To be a teacher.
Your biggest indulgence? Travel on international missions trips.
Your position? Children’s Ministry Director at Hanfield UMC.
