Beth Fisher

Children's Extension Ministry

Birthday: March 20

Favorite Verses: Proverbs 3:5-6; Psalm 139; Psalm 119:9-16 (labeled "Beth"!); Hebrews 12:1-3; John 15; Ephesians 6:10-20

What Did You Want To Be When You Grew Up? For me it was more of a question of who I wanted to be...Anne Shirley from Anne of Green Gables and Laura from Little House on the Prairie. As far as occupations are concerned...I think that I wanted to be a preacher, or a clown, or a mommy...HEY! I think that I am a little of all of those! Yes, I did it!

Activities & Interests: Theoretically: sewing, scrapbooking, and running...but I usually don't have the time or energy. Also, I recently got out my two trumpets that I haven't played since Junior year of high school. It was fun to see how much I could still play, maybe I will start that up again...theoretically, of course!

Favorite Music: tobyMac, Made to Love; Jimmy Needham, Fence Riders; Cranberries; U2; Hillsong for Kids

Favorite TV Shows: Wonder Pets; Super Why; October Road; BBC Miniseries; Home Decorating Shows; Project Runway; Lost; The Office

Favorite Movies: Anne of Green Gables!; Anne of Avonlea!; Sense and Sensibility; The Man in the Moon; Little Women; Elf; What About Bob?; The Little Mermaid; Darby O'Gill and the Little People

Favorite Books: Anything by Frank Peretti; Anything by Robin Hardy; Under Cover by John Bevere; The Chronicles of Narnia (especially The Last Battle); Living Gluten-Free for Dummies

Favorite Quote: "I love you, Mommy." by my daughter

"Baby steps through the office...Baby steps onto the elevator...AHHH!" from What About Bob?

(sung) "This is serious." from Wonder Pets (Apparently, I'm not very intellectual!)

What Inspires You? The Holy Spirit, Scripture, "Transformations" video series, stories of people having faith in God and then God doing miracles (like in Frank Peretti books...but especially in real life), when children pray and worship Jesus!

About Me: I am very expressive, very dramatic, and usually very emotional. I wear all my feelings "on my sleeve." I am said to have a lot of energy, but I am usually exhausted. I feel the most alive when I am teaching children, youth, or adults about God. I have always wanted to be a true prayer warrior like my mom, and a true Bible scholar like my dad.
