What Did You Want To Be When You Grew Up? I wanted to be a teacher, and then a wife and mother. I guess God had other ideas when I was lead into nursing instead of teaching. Being a wife and mom have been my favorite "jobs" though.

Favorite TV Shows: HGTV; Food Network; TLC; Dancing with the Stars; The Bachelor/Bachelorette; Grey's Anatomy; Boston Legal

Favorite Movies: Phantom of the Opera; Ben Hur; You've Got Mail; While You Were Sleeping; The King and I; Sound of Music

Favorite Books: The Bible; books by Beverly Lewis, Karen Kingsbury and Janet Evanovich

Favorite Quotes: "Give someone a piece of your heart, not a piece of your mind."

"Christians aren't perfect, just forgiven."

What Inspires You? I'm inspired by seeing Christians reach out to others in need, and by reading or hearing ways that God is working in the lives of people every day.

About Me: I'm a Marion native, a Purdue grad with a B.A. in Elementary Education and a graduate of IU-K with an A.D. in nursing. I worked as an R.N. for 25 years in various areas before staying home for a year. When the opportunity to work part-time as the Administrative Asst. came up, I felt like God had opened the door for me to again work with the public and to serve Him and use the gifts of caring and compassion that He has given me.

I've been married to my terrific husband Jerry since 1980 and we have a son, Brent, and a daughter Laura who is married to Tony Mills. I also have a step-daughter Beth who is married to Ray Gillingham and they are the parents of our five year old granddaughter, Jenna. Spending time with family is one of my favorite things to do, and that includes my three older brothers and their families. I had wonderful parents and I look forward to seeing them again someday in heaven.
