Work with Children
ALL volunteers MUST complete a safety screening process BEFORE working with children.
Prayer
Join others to pray for Hanfield children and the children's ministry volunteers.
Nursery (Infants - 3yrs)
- Care Provider - may serve on a regular rotation or substitute.
- Cleaning - clean toys, wash cups and clean rooms each week.
- New Baby Care - Provide meals and/or prepare new baby welcome packages.
- Care Team - Encouragement ministry for children and volunteers.
Preschool (3yrs - 5yrs)
- Shepherd - Oversees a small group of children.
- Shepherd Helper - Helps with a small group.
- Emergency Helper - Helps when regularly scheduled volunteers cannot.
- Storytellers - Tell a Bible story creatively.
- Hall Monitor - Monitors the hallway in the children's area as they move from room to room or use the bathroom.
- Craft Preparation - Help on one Saturday morning a month to cut out & gather supplies for crafts.
Kindergarten - 6th Grade
- Shepherd - Oversees a small group of children.
- Shepherd Helper - Helps with a small group.
- Substitute - Occasionally fills in for someone who is absent.
Club 56
- Refreshments - Provide snacks for the group.
- Special Event Help - Help prepare for and put on special events.
Creative Arts
- Powerpoint / Sound Booth - Help run the media for the weekly large group teaching time (both services).
- Room decor - Help decorate the stage area for the monthly virtue theme.
- Worship teams - Help lead short singing & worship time.
Administration
- Check-In Station - Scan kids in during the first part of one hour on Sunday mornings.
- Special Event Check-In - Check kids in/out for special outreach events.
Kid's Hope USA
- Mentors - One hour a week during the school year.
- Substitute Mentors - Fill in for a mentor that is absent.
- Prayer Partners - Partner with a mentor to pray for a student.
- Parties - Help plan and work at seasonal parties for Kid's Hope.
Elementary Summer Camp
- Senior Counselor - Age 18+ in charge of a cabin of kids.
- Junior Counselor - Age 15+ working with a senior counselor in a cabin.
- Transportation - Help get kids to camp who need a ride.
Seasonal Outreach Events
- Easter Egg Hunt
- VBS - Many areas to serve prior to and during the week of VBS.
- Pool Party
- Fall Kick Off
- Christmas Pageant
