English is also a strength for them as it is for their daughter Monica. Their heart to serve will have many opportunities among the pastors and churches and in the ministry to the First Nations in Paraguay.

Although I grew up in East Africa as the daughter of WGM missionaries, I never imagined that I would one day be called to be a missionary myself. When I first received my call while I was a college senior, I knew that God had begun a new thing and that I wouldn’t be going back home as a missionary. But I still wasn’t sure where I would end up.

It wasn’t until I was a seminary student that God began to put the Japanese people on my heart. Several of the other students taking classes, including two of the other women in the dormitory, were Japanese. It was through hearing the burden these two shared for their own people that God began to tug at my heart as well.

I was blessed to serve for 14 years alongside the believers and churches of Japan, primarily in the Tokyo area. I was invited to come and help them launch creative outreach programs especially aimed at children and for several years served as the English teacher for the Fun Fun English ministry program that reached out to young children and their families.

In spring of 2024, God again changed my path and revealed that my time in Japan had come to an end. I am currently seeking what God has next and actively serving WGM while I am praying and discerning what comes next.
